Iwhat does it mean to be a foster with birds house?
Fostering with us means opening your home temporarily to a dog in need. You provide love, structure, and a safe place to land while we look to find a forever home for your foster
Do I need a home check?
Yes. All fosters must complete either an in‑person or virtual walk‑through. This helps us make sure the dog will be safe and lets us match the right dog to your home.
What does Bird's House provide?
Right now, we are a small, growing rescue, so we do not currently provide:VaccinesFoodMedicationsSuppliesWe are fully transparent about this so fosters know exactly what to expect.
How long will i need to foster?
That is entirely up to you. We ask fosters to maintain care of the dog for a minimum of 4 weeks
What if I have other animals at home?
If for some reason your foster doesn't get along with your other pets, we will rehome them to a different foster - no guilt - no pressure
Can i adopt my foster dog?
Absolutely! And honestly.....this is how it normally happens. They steal your heart and become part of the family during their stay!
what support do I receive?
You definitely won't be doing this on your own! Someone from our team will have regular contact with you to discuss any questions or issues which may arise with your foster.
What if I need a break?? is that ok?
Absolutely. You can foster as often as you like or choose to take some time off. You'll always be part of the Bird's House family!
